When you magnify God with your entire life, you are offering Him your greatest form of worship. What an honor it is to know that your life is part of His wonderful plan and that you can glorify Him by fulfilling your life’s purpose and the work He has given you to do. Here are some steps you can take to ensure that you are always directing the glory to God:
1. Give Him praise. Celebrate Him.
As a dance minister, you know how important this is. You go before the people to declare His goodness. However, are you also making time to do this in your personal life? Outside of church, do your friends, family and co-workers hear and see you glorify God with your words, actions and lifestyle? You must remember that this is what you were created to do. Live a life of thanksgiving and gratitude. When you mumble and complain or just keep your mouth shut with an attitude, you are magnifying your own shortcomings, limitations and excuses rather than glorifying how awesome God is.
2. Discover and live your unique, divine purpose.
The Creator of the all things has also created a purpose and plan for your life. If you are not already living out His vision, it is time for you to diligently seek Him and discover it. This is vital. How sad it would be for you to get to heaven and realize there was an opportunity for you to live out your God-given dreams and make a real impact on this world. Your life’s assignment is the answer to a need or problem here on earth. It is the Lord’s desire to see you live up to the image He created for you. Instead of accepting limitations and stumbling blocks as you have in the past, why not dare to believe in the God of the impossible? Get busy and give Him glory.
3. Surrender to God’s will.
Are you wrestling with God? If so, it is time to come into agreement with Him and trust Him with the situation. Webster’s dictionary defines trust as having reliance on the integrity, strength and ability of a person or thing; confident expectation of something; hope. Can you trust Him enough to ask yourself the question, “What does the God of heaven and earth want for me and from me?” It may be time for you to let go of some things that you are holding very tightly. Is it your career? How about your ministry or children? Could it be a relationship, your finances, or hobby? Or is it your eating habits? What about your fears and insecurities? Have you closed the door on God regarding your goals, dreams, past, present or future? Have you given Him your heart, mind and soul? Seek the truth about yourself and turn over the control to God. This will be a challenging and ongoing process for many of you, but it is all part of living a life of worship. It truly shows that you allow Jesus to be Lord and King in your life and that gives Him glory.
4. Show obedience to His word.
When you are obeying the word of God, you show that you believe in who He is and what He can do. You trust God’s character and that gives honor to Him. At times, you may find yourselves restless and questioning God. This is when you must overcome doubt, fear and insecurity with the truth of His word. It is the only way you get victory and can boast of how He has done a work in your life. You have to mature and start asking yourself the hard questions so the Holy Spirit can reveal the areas in which you need to allow His anointing and transformation to take place. When others see a change in you and comment on it that is when it is time to give God the glory!
5. Love and serve others.
You are to follow Christ’s example of how to treat and minister to other people. As a child of God, you have been called to greatness but what will it cost you? What sacrifice must you make? Your love for others, especially those who are mean, ungrateful and unlovely, shows evidence of God’s love and your commitment to Christ. The Bible tells us that love comes from God and that God is love. You may not love the person’s ways, but Jesus asks you to imitate Him and love their eternal well-being. That is unconditional love. It looks beyond the surface, sees a need and seeks to fulfill it. As a dance minister, remember to focus on the souls and spiritual growth of those you minister to. When you can grow in Christ and discipline yourself to show that kind of love, it reflects on God and causes you to admire Him even more.
6. Strive for excellence in all you do.
This is not about being perfect or arrogant, but it is about letting God shine and take over your areas of weakness. Show integrity, keep your motives pure and stretch yourself beyond your limits. When you live like you believe “you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood” (I Peter 2:9), then God’s magnificence can take over your life. Be a role model for younger dance ministers and other Christian women. Excellence gives distinction and honor to God.
Words For Your Journey To Kingdom Purpose:
Revelations 4:11: You are worthy, O Lord our God to receive glory and honor and power. For you created everything and it is for your pleasure that they exist and were created.

Psalm 115:1: It does not belong to us Lord. The glory belongs to you, because of your love and loyalty.
